1 Corinthians 15:14

“And if Christ has not been raised, our preaching is useless and so is your faith” (1 Corinthians 15:14).

What does it mean to us that Jesus is Risen?

1. There is Love in the Resurrection (1 John 4:9, 1 John 3:14)

•    We see the extent of God’s love for us as we reflect on Jesus’ death.

•    It does not end there! The love of God did not only send Jesus to the cross, but it also raised Him back to life!

•    The love we find in the resurrection also overflows from us to others.

2. There is Life in the Resurrection (Romans 6:4-5, 2 Corinthians 5:17, Romans 8:11)

•    We will be united with Jesus in His resurrection life.

3. There is Hope in the Resurrection (1 Peter 1:3)

•    I have hope because Jesus rose from the dead!

4. There is Power in the Resurrection (1 Corinthians 6:14)

•    He is Alive and with us through the power and presence of the Holy Spirit.

•    And because of that, His power is available to us.

“And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of His Spirit who lives in you” (Romans 8:11).
